Dec 1, 2018 --A man who was trying to cross the street was struck by a car on Lambert Lind Highway. The driver immediately stopped to call 911 said the police officers who were on the scene. Officers who responded to an emergency call that Friday morning identified the victim as 68-year-old David J. Quinn. He was found lying on the street without pulse and with a head injury. The officers immediately performed CPR on the elderly man who was later brought to Rhode Island Hospital but declared critical.
Sep 21, 2018 --Joe Slater, a 15-year-old student from the Exeter West Greenwich Junior/Senior High School was playing basketball when he suddenly collapsed in the gym. Dawn Seitz, a school nurse and also a teacher was called on the scene and when she checked on Slater, the boy, who does not have a history of heart disease whatsoever, did not have any pulse. She requested for somebody to call 911. While waiting for paramedics to arrive, the nurse immediately performed CPR and Slater regained consciousness after a few minutes. Nov 11, 2016 --It was a regular gym day for Sgt. Christopher Lefort when he noticed another gym worker suddenly going down, his body laying lifeless on the floor.
